The University of Ottawa will host the ninth annual Rocky Mountain Empirical Trade Conference in Ottawa, Canada. Economists specializing in empirical economic research on issues relating to international trade and investment will present their latest research at this meeting.

The conference is open to other attendees whose papers are not on the program. There is no entry fee, but space is limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis for those not on the program. If you plan to attend but not to present a paper, please follow the registration link below.

This year's conference will be held immediately after the "Trade Policy Experts Roundtable." The Roundtable will take place in Ottawa on Thursday, May 17. RMET participants will be able to attend the Roundtable.

Conference Format:

The conference will begin in the morning on Friday and will continue through the following Sunday at noon. The program will include a total of 15 papers, with one hour per paper devoted to presentation, discussant remarks, and open discussion.

  • Please notify us if you would like to attend and/or would be willing to serve as a discussant but are not submitting a paper.
